Many of our students and visitors might wonder exactly what a Provost is and what functions they serve at the University. The Provost is the chief academic officer of the University, responsible for oversight and planning for all academic programs and academic support functions of the University. In addition, I am also the chief advocate for faculty in the upper administration and insure that we adhere to established academic policies and procedures so we can all get the most out of our high quality academic learning community. Like all others on the Southeast team, our office is here to serve our students who have made this their University of First Choice and to extoll the virtues of this great institution. Our office prides itself on our ability to solve problems and promote the success of our students, faculty, and staff.
