Organization: Lion Landscapes
With special recognition in 2024 of Drs. Amy Dickman and Alayne Cotterill for their incredible dedication to leading conservation efforts
Developing community-based solutions to enable better coexistence between people and wildlife, particularly large carnivores, and aiming to integrate local knowledge and experience with world-class science to deliver effective, evidence-based conservation. Their collaborative, locally-driven approach allows us to create lasting solutions for both people and wildlife, helping support large, diverse landscapes. This involves not only reducing the direct local costs associated with the presence of carnivores, including but not limited to lions, but also delivering meaningful benefits to ensure long-term conservation.
