Built in 1964, Elting Pool is one of the most historic facilities on campus. A facility that has seen the likes of two national champions and countless All-Americans, Elting Pool combines both a historic look and state-of-the-art technology.
This six-lane, 25-yard pool serves as home to the New Paltz swimming teams, club teams, New Paltz High School’s swimming teams, and a number of recreational swimmers. The facility utilizes the Colorado Timing system for all of its home swim meets, and times and places are recorded on a scoreboard that is tiered out to six lanes. The bleachers along the north side of the pool seat approximately 300 people, and the office of the aquatic director/head swimming coach is located on the southeast side of the pool deck.
