Old Main, the oldest building on campus, was constructed in 1908, and at that time it housed the entire college. Today, it is the home of the School of Education, one of the flagship majors of New Paltz. The building underwent significant renovation in 2011, making it one of the most modern and greenest buildings on campus, with "smart" classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art technologies.
