Named for MC's legendary coach Lombe Honaker, Honaker Field has been the home field for the Fighting Scots football team since 1952. It saw major improvements in 2001, when it was graded and reseeded for Bermuda turf. In 2008, the College dedicated Legends Rock, a granite monument topped by a bronze helmet that celebrates pride, team, commitment and honor. Players stop and touch the helmet during their entrance onto the field.
Named for Lloyd L. Thornton and dedicated in 1993, Thornton Stadium can accommodate approximately 3,000 fans. (Attendance for Fighting Scots games has been in the top 10 percent nationally for DIII football.) In 2002, improvements were made to the entrance, restroom and concession areas.
