This project originated as a seismic reinforcement of one of the corners of the now School of Public Heath. It was approached in a way to improve the safety levels of this building beyond its previous conditions. Its design accounted for the necessary need to have the main floor of this graduate school to be functioning in the case of structural damage, thus ensuring that the damage would be direct away from that main floor.
