La Kretz Hall is the home to the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability; featuring a 350-seat auditorium, energy savings from natural ventilation, and a 5-million gallon chilled water storage tank to offset campus cooling loads. The building is a model for sustainable resource use, and is the university's first project to receive Silver - New Building certification under the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system.
