The construction of Sproul Cove/Landing and Sproul Presido created additional housing for undergraduates on campus, resulting in an overall reductions in vehicle trips due to its excellent proximity to campus. This building consists of low-flow toilets and shower heads as a water saving strategy; occupancy sensors, double-paned windows and ample natural light to keep energy consumption down and to keep the building internal heat naturallly regualted; and dual-stream trash chutes that allow residents to sort their waste into its approtiate sector of landfill, recycling, or compost.
