UCLA has commissioned Bauer Architecture for this project. It includes a sod roof pool building, which adds green space to the campus as part of a design planned to achieve a LEED™ equivalent certification. Home to UCLA’s Swimming, Diving, and Water Polo teams, Spieker uses one-third less energy than comparable facilities thanks to natural ventilation, radiant heating, and passive thermal design.
