           About

For this 346, 384 sq ft. lot that borders an ecological preserve, the Olympic and Centennial Halls were built to address the demand for on-campus housing as well as to integrate immersive living/learning experience within the grove. In the Olympic/centennial study spaces there are windows along all walls which connect students to the layered views of the grove and a pine tree canopy. The design of this project incorporates solar thermal panels, heat recovery from shower waste, and an innovative cooling tower on-site as a way to exceed the most stringent energy code in the nation by more than 20%. Not only that, but there an accessible pedestrian bride to have a connection between the ucla residential hill and main campus.
