A project funded by the National Science foundation enabled the renovation of this building to revamp it's 24,000 sq. ft. worth of lab spaces to meet the requirements of 21st century research labs. UCLA worked with Stenfors Associates Architects to ensure sustainability was at the forefront of this project. It resulted in new collaborative lab spaces which allow energy harvesting, energy storage, energy conservation, green manufacturing, hydrogen feuls, nuclear energy, and sustainable water.
