The Organic Garden is a plot of land with five 8-foot-by-12-foot raised beds located at the back of Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. Hands-on classes are held at the garden to teach those who wish to learn the basics of how to grow their own fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs in their own backyard gardens, or container gardens. Students learn the basics of seasonal planting, cultivating, harvesting, healthy soil, composting, natural weed and pest management, simple recipes, herb propagation as well as how to make your own teas and infusions.
