In partnership with the City of Los Angeles, UCLA offers a solvents, automotive, flammable, and electronics (SAFE) collection center that is a permanent drop-off point for residents of the surrounding community to dispose of their household hazardous and electronic waste. The center accepts paint and solvents; used motor oil and filters; anti-freeze, and other automotive fluids; cleaning products; pool and garden chemicals; aerosol cans; all medicine; auto batteries; household (alkaline) batteries; fluorescent tubes and bulbs, thermostats, and other mercury-containing lamps; computers, monitors, and printers; network equipment; cables; telephones; televisions; microwave ovens; video games; cell phones; radios; stereos; VCRs, and electronic toys.
Open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Electronic waste accepted only on Saturdays.
