The Max C. Chapman Jr. Hall, at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill features three large lecture halls, an astronomy deck, two floors dedicated to marine sciences and two floors to physics. The building is designed to handle a wide variety of scientific needs with wet labs, dry labs, nano labs, high bay space, and a cleanroom.
The Chapel Hill Analytical and Nanofabrication Facility (CHANL), located in Chapman Hall, is a shared instrumentation laboratory specializing in micro- and nanofabrication, electron microscopy, and spectroscopy. The facility is open to UNC researchers from all departments as well as to researchers from other universities, government labs, and industry.
