This sunken courtyard known as The Pit, beside the Student Union, is an epicenter of student life on campus and serves as a stage for speeches, performances and student organizations. Legend has it that you will see all of Carolina’s 30,000 students pass through The Pit within 24 hours. “Pit sit” for a while to watch and enjoy the activity.
