The first phase of the City of DeKalb Lucinda Avenue road improvements project includes reconfiguration of the intersection at Normal Road from traditional traffic signals to a roundabout.
This work will include relocating and improving pedestrian crossings and addition of flashing/audible signaling at key crossings. Timing on construction is to be determined but anticipated to begin later this year potentially as early as August.
A subsequent phase of improvement for the remainder of Lucinda Avenue from the bridge to the east and Annie Glidden Road to the west is in planning and schedule for that is pending.
