Burruss was originally Burruss Science Hall in honor of Julian A Burruss, JMU's first president. It underwent an extensive renovation and addition in the early 1990s.

Burruss currently houses classrooms and is the administrative home for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

        Study Spaces/Computer Labs:

Burruss offers two study spaces: room 338 and room 244. Room 338 is a lovely, big room with large windows and 26 seats. Its furniture and whiteboards have wheels, making it a flexible space. Room 244, a computer lab with printers and 40 PCs, can be used for studying when it’s not in use for a class. Learn more about the computer lab in Burruss 244 or view its schedule.
