      1. Moody Hall

Moody Hall started out as arguably the coziest spot on campus while serving as the base for the home economics department. Outfitted with a food lab, clothing lab and two apartments, it no doubt prepared many students for taking care of themselves and others. It was named in honor of former home economics department head Pearl P. Moody.

In addition to academic administrative offices, Moody is home to the African, African American, and Diaspora Studies Center, which provides interdisciplinary knowledge, programming, and initiatives related to Black peoples, histories, cultures, languages, economics, philosophies, ideas, and socio-political structures. The Center’s core mission is to cater to student-faculty constituencies with academic interests in the peoples, cultures, and institutions of Africa and the African Diaspora.
