      1. JMU Libraries Express (1050 South Main Street)

        JMU Libraries Express is a temporary library location serving the Bluestone side of campus while Carrier Library is closed for renovation and expansion. At this express location, you can pick up and drop off books, read or study, print and scan, and view media such as DVDs, VHS tapes, and microforms. This location will close when Carrier Library reopens, which is expected to be in Fall 2026. 

        This building was formerly the home of Madison Print Services.

        Study spaces: JMU Libraries Express is a beautiful place to study or work, with about 20 seats at study tables and café tables, and plenty of natural light. Friendly Libraries staff are available to help you locate library materials and resources. The building also offers printers, a scanner, several computers, and a universal restroom. 

         




        Visitor parking: Visitors with a free day pass from Parking Services can use faculty/staff parking lot K adjacent to the building. There are also a few 10-minute parking spots next to the building that do not require a parking pass.
