      1. Memorial Hall

Originally built as the former Harrisonburg High School and acquired by JMU in 2006, Memorial Hall now houses the College of Education and other academic departments, including Military Science (Army ROTC). In addition to classrooms and faculty offices, the facility boasts an auditorium and Educational Technology and Media Center.

        Study Spaces/Computer Labs:

Any JMU student can study in Memorial Hall. Try the Forum, the Corner Bistro, the computer labs, the Educational Technology and Media Center (ETMC), or the self-service Pantry location. In the ETMC, you’ll find soft chairs, desks for groups and individuals, and more. As a library space, the ETMC also has printers, board games, education books, a small makerspace, and more. Check out a list of things you can do in the ETMC to learn more. (Pro tip: Don’t use the front entrance of Memorial Hall. Use Entrance F on Grace Street.)
