      1. Bannow (Rudolph F.) Science Center

The Rudolph F. Bannow Science Center is home to the School of Engineering, as well as the College of Arts and Sciences' programs in the natural and physical sciences, mathematics, and psychology. The building features six, cutting-edge engineering labs dedicated to advanced manufacturing, automation and robotics; mechanical engineering; material characterization; cybersecurity; bioengineering; and machine shop engineering. It also features newly renovated physiology, anatomy, organic chemistry, and marine biology labs for students interested in pursuing the sciences.

Bannow is also home to an impressive array of advanced research instruments, including a MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer, a 400-MHz nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, and an Anatomage virtual dissection table. In addition to using these professional grade instruments in their classes, students also have the opportunity to conduct scientific experiments and original research studies of their own alongside experienced members of our faculty. From innovative cancer cell studies to the development of drinking water treatments in Bolivia, students never lack interesting opportunities for collaborative research.
