About
Sproul Hall is located in Sproul Plaza and is one of the four classic residential buildings on campus with double and triple room types in a high-rise experience. Sproul Hall features community bathrooms with 4-6 shower stalls, toilets and sinks, as well as study lounges on every floor. The communal laundry room is located on the ground floor as well as a 24-hour front desk, study, and meeting rooms. Aside from the study lounges, Sproul Hall also offers large social lounges where students can enjoy different programs put on throughout the year. Although the building does not have air conditioning, nice breezes off the ocean that is only 5 miles away, help keep temps cooler.
Every room is furnished with a bed (twin XL), desk, and dresser (both closet and drawer space) for each resident.
Sproul Hall is named after Robert Gordon Sproul who was president of the University of California. When he took office in 1930, at the age of 39, he was the youngest man ever to head the university.
