Built in 1983 and purchased in 1987, Faculty Levering is an eight-story, 72-unit, bi-level building located on the corner of Levering and Le Conte, two blocks from campus. The complex has gated parking and is handicapped-accessible. Formerly under the University of California Housing System, this faculty apartment complex was transferred to the Campus Housing System in FY 2013/14 and will continue to be owned and managed by University Apartments. Each unit includes a microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, carpeting (some with faux wood flooring), blinds, central heating and air conditioning, campus telephone system, direct Internet connection to the campus backbone, basic cable TV, and 24-hour emergency maintenance. These units were fully renovated in the 1999-2000 fiscal year.
