UCLA Police Department sets a standard of excellence in law enforcement and serves a multi-cultural, educational environment of over 75,000 faculty, staff and students in Los Angeles. It is a part of the statewide UC Police system of about 410 sworn personnel. UCLA PD takes pride in its cultural and ethnic diversity and strives to employ a broad cross-section of the community. The department employs about 65 sworn officers, 41 professional staff, and approximately 115 students. The UCLA Police Department building was completed in 2010 and is LEED Silver certified.
