Margo Leavin Graduate Art Studio
The UCLA School of the Arts and Architecture received a $20 million gift from renowned art dealer and influential contemporary art world figure Margo Leavin to rebuild and expand the former UCLA Warner Graduate Studios. The complex was renamed the UCLA Margo Leavin Graduate Art Studios to commemorate her generous gift, the largest ever given by to the arts within the UC system. The world-renowned architectural firm of Johnston Marklee revitalized the World War II era bow and truss structure at the core of the complex, consisting of a two-story, sky-lit structure, featuring an open air courtyard and garden. The dynamic space houses an expansive art studio, lab, and gallery. The building is LEED Gold certified.
