      The UCLA Center for Health Sciences is the home of the David Geffen School of Medicine. On May 7, 2002 entertainment executive and philanthropist David Geffen announced a $200 million unrestricted gift to the School of Medicine. The gift is the largest ever made to the University of California, and the largest single donation ever made to a school of medicine in this country. In recognition, the school now bears Geffen's name.
