Estimated Dates: December 2025 - March 2026
A construction project to upgrade pedestrian lighting and electrical infrastructure along Cornell Mall is underway and will continue through early March 2026.
The project will improve safety, security, and evening use by enhancing lighting in high-traffic areas. As part of UNM’s Integrated Campus Plan, the upgrades are designed to support future flexibility for outdoor performances and foster campus identity through creative lighting design.
Evening lighting will remain operational throughout the project, and no disruptions to pedestrian access are anticipated at this time.
