      1. MCKNIGHT CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts at Oklahoma State University is a world-class cultural hub dedicated to attracting celebrated national and international programs featuring notable performing arts productions and artists. Opened in October 2019, the center is at 705 W. University Ave. in Stillwater. It offers a variety of performances, including concerts by prestigious orchestras, touring Broadway musicals, and other renowned artists. It is named after Ross and Billie McKnight, alumni who met as OSU students in 1970, while Ross was an animal science senior and Billie was a freshman working toward a degree in business administration. They donated $25 million for the facility in 2016. The McKnight Center also significantly contributes to student employment and career development, providing hands-on experience in arts management, customer service, marketing and event coordination.
