Watkins Hall
Watkins Academic Center, originally known as Old Science Hall, is named after Dr. John Pierce Watkins, the 5th president of the University. The building was entirely renovated and re-dedicated in October 1992, a century after the original building was completed in 1892. Dr. Watkins' mother, Gwendolyn, a 1927 graduate, had classes in the original building during her time as a student. The structure currently houses the Department of Business as well as classrooms and offices.
