         Organization: Turtle Survival Alliance Foundation
         
         Ensuring efficient and effective captive breeding of critically endangered black softshell turtles in temple ponds in Assam, Northeast India, through breeding and expansion of the headstarting facility at Nagshankar temple. Engaging local fishermen in the conservation program, leading community education and awareness efforts and establishing a reintroduction protocol to aid in the recovery of remaining populations.
