      1. Compost

         Sustainability Management oversees a compost program with the Facilities Grounds department. All students enrolled at Syracuse University are welcome to participate in the small-scale composting program. Email sustain@syr.edu for information. The program encourages students to divert their personal food scraps from the waste cycle and bring them to our large compost bins located outside of the Carriage House (161 Farm Acre Road). Once the bin is full, Grounds department will take the food scraps to a large dumpster. Once the larger dumpster is full, Facilities will take the dumpster to Amboy Compost site where it will be turned into a rich compost.
