Lally Athletics Arena Lighting Project
During the summer of 2023, hundreds of lighting fixtures were replaced with LEDs. The new LEDs are brighter and provide a better quality of light along with energy savings. The new fixtures have dimming capability which will result in additional energy and greenhouse gas emissions savings. By using more efficient LED fixtures, the amount needed to light the arena has been nearly halved. This project is projected to help the University reduce its carbon footprint by roughly 141 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) each year.
