University House
Home of 11 Penn State presidents (1864-1970). Since 2001 part of the Hintz Family Alumni Center. The house was designed and in part financed by the first president, Evan Pugh (1859-64), who died before it was completed. Seen here as originally built, it has undergone many alterations but still stands as the oldest structure on campus. During the presidency of Milton Eisenhower (1950-56), his brother, U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower, visited here several times.
