The Chapel Creek stream restoration , completed in 2006, restored 1,400 feet of stream channel and nearly 5 acres of forested stream buffer on land that was once part of Finley Golf Course. Created to improve water quality and to provide aquatic habitat for fish, macroinvertebrates, and other wildlife, the restored wetland removes over a ton of sediment and 50 pounds of pollutants per year from stormwater runoff, protecting downstream ecosystems and water quality in Jordan Lake.
