UT Health SA Police Department is nationally accredited by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). All police officers are certified peace officers by the State of Texas and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, enforce Texas State laws, UT policies, conduct criminal investigations, and professionally carry out other law enforcement related activities.

- Operation Identification. Operation identification is an excellent crime prevention tool offered to all members of the university community. You may borrow an electric engraver free of charge for one week (can be used to protect bicycles, cameras, laptops, iPods, cell phones, lab equipment and any other item with a hard surface)
- Safety Training Services such as workplace violence, domestic abuse, self-defense (RAD program), civilian response to active shooter events, sexual assault prevention are available.
