        This building is named after John C. Nutting, a businessman and Carleton trustee whose son John D. Nutting graduated from Carleton in 1906. Nutting house is where Carleton’s president and their family reside. Each year during New Student Week, first-year students are welcomed to Nutting House to speak with the current president, be treated to homemade apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, and play lawn games in the backyard.
