Cassat is part of a cluster of residence halls surrounding the Mini Bald Spot. Along with its next-door neighbor James, which it is linked to by an underground tunnel, it is the newest residence hall to Carleton, built using environmentally sustainable design and certified LEED Gold. Cassat Basement is an especially popular hangout spot and hosts many student events, as it has its own full kitchen and a game room with a pool table, foosball, stereo set-up, and TV.
