        Built in 2009
        Formerly known as Memorial Hall (don’t be surprised if you hear an alum call it “Memo”), James is part of a cluster of residence halls surrounding the Mini Bald Spot. Along with its next-door neighbor Cassat, which it is linked to by an underground tunnel, it is the newest residence hall to Carleton, built using environmentally sustainable design and certified LEED Gold. James is one of the only residence halls on campus with exclusively suite-style rooms, making it a very popular choice for upperclassmen during room draw.
