110 Nourse Lane
Built in 1917
Renovations in 1932, 1992, 1998, 2006, 2013
A popular Mini Bald Spot residence hall, Nourse is also the home of Little Nourse, a blackbox theater located in the basement, where many campus theater and comedy groups perform. On Friday and Saturday nights near the end of term, you can find students lining the hallways waiting for the doors to open so they can grab a seat for Lenny Dee (sketch comedy), Cujokra (improv), Queens of Comedy (standup), or something else! Many of the groups also host their practices in the large First Nourse Lounge, a popular east campus gathering spot for students.
Four of Nourse’s five floors are Special Interest floors for students who want specific housing arrangements. First Nourse is a single-gender men’s floor (which used to be referred to as the Man Cave when the basement was the all-men’s floor); Second Nourse is a Quiet Living Area, meaning it has 24/7 quiet hours; Third Nourse is a dedicated substance-free floor; and Fourth Nourse is a single-gender women’s floor (jokingly called “the Nunnery” by many).
