Carleton’s Recreation Center (usually just called the Rec) is a major hub for athletics and recreation on campus. The building contains:

      • A fitness center with cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights for strength and conditioning activities.
      • The Fieldhouse, located on the upper floor, which has a six-lane, 200-meter track and eight-lane straightaway as well as four courts alternately used for basketball, volleyball, tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, indoor soccer, and batting practice.
      • A climbing wall (visible right when you walk through the front doors) and a very popular bouldering cave.
      • One racquetball court and two convertible squash or racquetball courts.
      • Multiple dance and aerobics studios.

Whether you’re a varsity athlete or just fulfilling your PE requirement, the Rec has the right space and equipment for what you need!
