509 Goodsell Circle
Built in 1993. Renovated in 2005.
Like many things at Carleton, this building goes by its acronym: the CMC! Built to accommodate the growing use of computers across disciplines in the early 1990s, one rumor asserts that the CMC was designed to look like the tower computers of the day (though this has not been officially corroborated). If you’re seeking homework help from the Math Skills Center, taking a statistics class, or getting your laptop looked at by ITS, this is the place to be. Make sure to look down when you enter the building and check out the beautiful, award-winning Penrose Tile pattern on the entryway floor!
The CMC also shares a sizable patio space with Boliou, perfect for holding class outside or simply enjoying the weather with friends in the fall or spring.
