Built in 2019. Part of Carleton’s Integrated Science Complex, Anderson is connected to Hulings and Olin Halls. The building is named after pioneering scientist Evelyn M. Anderson, class of 1921, H’54, P’59, P’60, P’61. An American physiologist and biochemist, Anderson is best known for co-discovering adreno-cortical thyroid hormone (ACTH) in 1934. Anderson Hall houses STEM classrooms and labs, the Class of 1969 Makerspace, and the Daugherty Atrium where students can grab snacks at Schulze Café.
Built with sustainability top-of-mind, Anderson is LEED Platinum certified—the highest possible rating from the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Carleton’s geothermal energy plant is also housed in the sub-basement of Anderson.
