Landscape by L. Dean Neuforth
L. Dean Neuforth received a Masters of Arts degree from the UNM Art Department in 1954. The two paintings in the Fine Arts & Design Library were among ten works presented in his Exhibit of Paintings for the Masters degree. After attending UNM, Neuforth was a professor of art at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, and Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro. These two paintings present a Cubist-inspired vision of the Northern New Mexico landscape.
