Named for Harrisonburg businessman, entrepreneur, former JMU Board of Visitors member/rector and JMU benefactor Zane D. Showker, Showker Hall was constructed to unify the College of Business that was strewn all over campus and accounted for a third of JMU students. It was among the first buildings on campus equipped with wireless everywhere.
