Since 2017 the Center has started every public and private training with a verbal and printed land acknowledgement. In 2020 and 2021 Center staff also organized public art activism around the colonial settler 1753 House and historical plaque in the rotary that forms a main entry point to town. These actions led to the town changing its signage. Williamstown now publicly acknowledges the Stockbridge-Munsee on two permanent signs and is employing a QR code in its communications that directs users to the Stockbridge-Munsee website.
