         Built largely through contributions from JMU alumnae and friends, Alumnae Hall is among the buildings that dot the picturesque JMU Quadrangle. The nearby Kissing Rock, among JMU's longest-standing traditions, was unearthed as part of Alumnae's construction and was too expensive to move
         
         Alumnae houses the president's office and other major administrative offices.
