A turf space left after the construction of the Bailey Rotunda Hall in 1967, the Rotunda Green is located between the Bailey Rotunda Hall and the American Indian Student Center. Near student resident halls, the Rotunda Green once featured a horticulture garden. Today, a Siberian elm and a cork tree from the garden remain, the seeds of which were planted in the 1920s by renowned South Dakota State University horticulturist Niels Ebbeson Hansen.
