The McFadden Biostress Lab (SNP) provides modern laboratory facilities for increased research of biological stress factors in the semi-arid Northern Great Plains. Built in 1993 using state and federal government funds, the Northern Plains Biostress Lab’s name was officially changed to the Edgar S. McFadden Biostress Lab in October 2014 to honor McFadden and his work with wheat as an SDSU student.
