Selective Restoration: Increasing Coral Resilience

Enhancing local wild populations and promoting natural recovery of coral reefs in the Cayman Islands. Identifying corals that are resilient or resistant to bleaching caused by changing ocean temperature. Raising corals in a nursery in the Cayman Islands and transplanting in sites identified as suitable coral habitat in the wild.
