Rewilding Australia's Red Centre - the Global Epicentre of Mammal Extinctions
Organization: Australian Wildlife Conservancy
Re-introducing ten threatened mammals at Newhaven in Australia: mala, rufous hare-wallaby, burrowing bettong, golden bandicoot, central rock rat, brush-tailed bettong, greater bilby, red-tailed phascogale, numbat, shark bay mouse, and common brushtail possum. The goal is to restore biodiversity to the region after 20 mammal species were lost to introduced feral predators.
